Four Questions with Selena Cuffe, BCI Chief Growth Officer

Selena, you’re known for your innovative approach to guiding businesses and global enterprises. Describe your vision for BCI as our company continues to thrive and evolve.

From my perspective, the future of BCI is about living our core values, fostering a culture of excellence, care and responsiveness. I was drawn to this company because we have a positive impact on our customers, employees, and communities. For customers, it’s about providing exceptional service and regularly assessing how we can improve and keep their business. With our employees, BCI offers more than just a salary; we provide retirement planning services, and coming very soon, we plan to enable employees access to funds before pay day. And for our community, BCI supports the J3 Foundation and other organizations that are helping lift up those in need.

What are some growth opportunities you’ve identified for BCI in the near and long term?

I think there are a world of new technologies that could open new doors for our company. For example, using AI could help us monitor progress, support our employees and deliver even better solutions for our customers. AI has the power to help us engage with our community, enhance the value we provide to our clients, and manage administrative tasks, so we can all focus on our daily responsibilities. Plus, adaptive learning systems have the power to facilitate updated training and development for our employees.

What qualities do you look for in a BCI employee or team member?

At BCI, we’re looking for people who share our values and optimism – folks who are comfortable bringing their talents and best, authentic selves to work every day. We need problem solvers – employees who can recognize an issue and find win/win solutions. Joe often says he wants people to look at BCI as their own business, with that sense of agency and entrepreneurial energy to tackle challenges as they come. I agree!

Describe a great day in the office.

A great day is when I’m able to collaborate with Joe and other members of the team in the office. Talking about ideas and working through issues together is what is really invaluable – influence and support of the talented, intelligent people who make up our team – I appreciate that!
