We were honored to welcome C5LA Leaders to our office for a recent Career Exploration Lunch, an experience designed to connect high school students with professionals and provide firsthand insight into the world of business.
The visit offered students a behind-the-scenes look at life at BCI. Our team shared an overview of our mission, what a typical day looks like, and how our individual career paths led us to where we are today. Through honest conversations and open dialogue, students had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, learn about different career possibilities, and practice professional communication and networking skills.
While our team discussed career journeys and lessons learned along the way, C5LA Leaders shared their own experiences in the program, along with their college and career aspirations. These exchanges underscored the importance of mentorship, representation, and access to real world professional environments.
The day concluded on a lighthearted note with a friendly game of ping pong with Joe Blackstone, reinforcing that professional success and workplace culture can be both purposeful, human and fun!
