Joe Blackstone
President
Joe Blackstone
Joe Blackstone is the Founder, President, & CEOof Blackstone Consulting, Inc. Established in 1991, with its corporate office in Los Angeles California, BCI is a $900 million managed services provider of security, food, janitorial, facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance and project management services. Clients include JP Morgan Chase, Apple Computer, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Northrop Grumman, Kaiser Permanente and State Farm. Prior to starting his own company, Joe worked as a management consultant for West Hudson in Los Angeles, California and Bain & Company in Paris, France as well as a Marketing Representative for IBM Corporation in San Francisco, California. Joe is a University of Southern California alumnus, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 1983 and subsequently earned his MBA at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in August 1985. Joe founded J3 Foundation in 2018, a non-profit organization that funds and operates a literacy program currently serving 18 schools and 700 students in raising their literacy scores substantially in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Jim Corydon

Meet Jim Corydon
Jim joins BCI with more than 20 years of experience in a lead Financial role. Earlier Jim served as Head Trader for a portfolio of 250 million hedge fund focusing on small micro-cap securities. In addition, Jim has many years of experience auditing financials of fortune 500 and regional companies.
Jim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Illinois and is happily married to Kathleen of 32 years with four children Matt, Maddie, JP and Clare.
Selena Cuffe
Chief Growth Officer
Meet Selena Cuffe
Previously, Selena served as President of SodexoMagic, a $650M, 6,000 person firm owned by Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo, Inc., serving corporations, governments, and academic institutions. She is also co-founder of Heritage Link Brands, celebrated for commercializing global markets for South African black wine producers. Her international experience includes working in over 40 countries, and she is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Selena serves as a board director for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (Los Angeles branch) and One Energy, an industrial power company. She also chairs the Nominating & Governance committee for the Harvard Business School Women Students Association Alumnae Advisory board and is an advisor to the Stanford University Bing Overseas Studies Programs (BOSP).
Selena earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with minors in Spanish & Portuguese, from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from the Harvard Business school. She is a mother member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., a Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a certified mediator, and an advocate for foster care youth. Selena is married with three children and makes her home in View Park-Windsor Hills, California.
Michael Goldberger
Chief Risk Officer
Meet Michael Goldberger
With more than 25 years of risk management expertise, Michael Goldberger brings skill, experience and perspective to the executive leadership team of Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI) as the firm’s Chief Risk Officer. Michael leads a team dedicated to creating a workplace culture of safety and wellness in the workplace, enabling BCI employees to contribute their best work.
By bringing risk considerations to the company’s strategic planning and continuous improvement endeavors, Michael ensures BCI is prepared to effectively manage risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and achieve business objectives. Michael created BCI’s Risk Management team to oversee workplace and insurance-related risk, transitioning the company to a self-insured program that saved millions of dollars in insurance premiums.
Committed to building positive work environments for the company’s employees in locations throughout the country, as well as in the United Kingdom and Germany, Michael develops and supports a range of health and safety programs. He guides a team in managing OSHA compliance, insurance and bonding, workers compensation, as well as claims and claims management.
Before joining BCI in 2006, Michael built his risk management and leadership expertise with roles for several companies in Florida, including corporate risk manager for a truck and rental company, director of risk and safety for a food delivery business, and risk manager for Siemens Building Technologies. He is a member of the local and national chapter of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS). He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Arizona.
Michael lives in Los Angeles with Allison, his wife of over 30 years. The couple has three adult children. He enjoys playing tennis and pickleball.
Rosalia Ibarrola
General Counsel
Meet Rosalia Ibarrola
Rosalia Ibarrola serves as the General Counsel at Blackstone Consulting, Inc. She provides legal support and counsel to various BCI departments, including Human Resources, Risk Management and Operations to minimize the risk of disputes and litigation and defend the company, its subsidiaries, and partners if and when the need arises. Rosalia has been practicing law for over 10 years.
Prior to Blackstone Consulting, Inc. Rosalia served as an Associate for Jackson Lewis; where she defended employers from small businesses to multibillion-dollar firms against claims of harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wage & hour violations, breach of contract and more.
Rosalia earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Princeton University and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford University Law School.

Theresa Nguyen
Chief People Officer
Meet Theresa Nguyen
Theresa comes to us with 25+ years of experience in various progressive HR leadership roles at diverse organizations such as the Los Angeles Times, Disney, General Electric, Comcast/NBC Universal and Northrop Grumman. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and Finance from CSUN and has the Senior Professional of HR Certification (SPHR) from HRCI.
Throughout her expansive career, Theresa has been instrumental in scaling organizations through their different growth and maturity cycles and in delivering progressive HR practices and programs to ensure the best employee experiences at different levels of the organization. She has a proven track record of success in elevating companies to the Employer of Choice recognition.
Theresa currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Michael and three children, Alex, Mikala, and Madison. Theresa enjoys walking and meditation. She loves to design jewelry and follows the fashion world to enhance her creative juices.
Michael Robinson
Chief Operations Officer
Meet Michael Robinson
Collaborative, decisive and dedicated to conscious leadership, Michael Robinson serves as Chief Operations Officer for Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI). In this role since 2017, Michael ensures teams throughout BCI are supported with the resources and customized training needed to execute best-in-class customer service. He’s responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations, including quality control, learning and development, and systems that enable teams to achieve their missions.
From managing logistics at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City to helping launch a food service facility that fed more than 10,000 soldiers in Baghdad during the Second Gulf War, Michael is adept at coordinating large-scale contracts and overseas military support. He helped secure BCI’s first international contract, with the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany. Prior to his current role, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Operations for BCI. He joined the company in 2011 as Vice President, managing operations and business development.
Before BCI, Michael served as vice president of operations for Selrico Services Inc., a full-service global contractor that supports government and commercial clients. In several executive and management roles with the company, Michael oversaw strategic planning and execution, quality control, and technology deployment for international DOD and private sector clients. He also worked as Regional Director for Compass Group North America.
Michael gives back to the industry through membership in the American Society for Industrial Security, International Sanitary Supply Association and National Restaurant Association. He’s a member of the University of Texas Parents Association, and has contributed community service to food banks, environmental causes, and services for veterans and disadvantaged communities.
Throughout his career, Michael has earned certifications including Project Management by the National Contract Management Agency, ISA 9001-2015 Auditor in Quality Management Systems by SARA Registers, and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by the Stephen Covey Institute.
Michael attended Baltimore International College and earned a degree in Business Administration from California Southern University. He lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Neeru, two children and a Corgi named Stitch.
